Strategy and policies

We take our commitments to CSR very seriously in regards to the communities in which we work, our environmental impact and our ethical conduct.

Community focused

The communities in which we work are incredibly important to us. We only employ staff who live in close proximity to the towns in which our offices are located, their local knowledge being vital for vendors and buyers alike. Where possible we engage local suppliers and refer business to other locally based companies. We also support the local press through advertising and sponsor various local events, schools and sports clubs throughout the year. This has helped us win the trust and approval of the towns and villages in which we operate.

Environmental awareness

Perry Bishop and Chambers recognise that its business activities result in both direct and indirect environmental impact. We also recognise that our responsibilities extend beyond employees and customers to the wider community and include responsible environmental management. We are therefore committed as a company to managing our business with the aim of reducing our direct and indirect environmental impacts and believe that this is an important step towards increasing the sustainability of our business in the long term.

All staff are actively encouraged to recycle paper, card and plastics. Clearly marked recycling bins have been set up in each office, which are emptied on a weekly basis by a local recycling scheme. We use a combination of FSC accredited and recycled paper stock for all internal and external communications, including photocopying paper, corporate stationery and literature, leaflets and mailers.

Ethical practices

Integrity is one of our core values and informs the way in which we conduct business with vendors and buyers alike. A service level agreement and fee structure are agreed from the outset so that clients know exactly what to expect in terms of service and disbursement. We insist that any third party providers we recommend to clients for lettings, mortgages, conveyancing or legal services are equally transparent. As an a NAEA Propertymark Protected estate agent, we agree to comply with the professional standards outlined within the NAEA Propertymark Rules of Conduct, demonstrating dedication and commitment to high standards in estate agency, a copy of which can be found here.

We are also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and adhere to their Rules of Conduct.

Don't just take our word for it - our latest reviews

As a buyer, the estate agent doesn’t really need to be looking after me and my interests but Perry Bishop and Chambers’ team were exceptional.

Gave us excellent advice on getting planning permission on some of our garden. When we had panning permission, they marketed our plot. First buyer pulled out they had a second buyer who purchased it at the asking price.

Perry Bishop were our agent of choice when we sold our house this year - and they stayed with us every-step of the way! We were really impressed by the professionalism and standard of customer care. Shirley and the team kept us informed throughout.

We were potential buyers of a property listed by Perry Bishop, which unfortunately fell through due to unavoidable circumstances. Elaine from the Progression Team was particularly helpful during the attempted purchase process, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated as events developed.
